Karliah (Nightingale Armor)

Picture
Series: The Elder Scrolls Series: Skyrim
Character:  Karliah

Version:  Nightingale Armor

Debuted At:
Phoenix Comic Con 2012
Anime Expo 2012

Awards Won: 1st Place in Gaming at PHXCC2012

Details:
Sylar had always been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowinds release, and introduced Sheila into the world in time for Skyrim's release. Both fell in love all over again, and Sheila especially with the character of Karliah and the amazing Nightingale Armor.

The entirety of this armor is made from craft foam, that was sealed, detailed (with hot glue and carving into the foam) and then painted to resemble leather texture. It is all heated into shape and then attached directly onto a base black catsuit.

You can find a small tutorial of the painting/creating process of the armor here.

The bracers are attached to gloves, and the armor below the waist is actually attached to a detachable belt. All of the silver adornments, buckles and rivets were sculpted from sculpy and sprayed silver. The face mask is also craft foam, simply glued onto a ski mask. The head and cape were sewn from scratch and attach via some metal snaps on the suit.

The quiver is an altered and painted purse bag, with hand painted silver designs; it attaches directly to the back of the cape and sports the arrows made from wooden dowels, craft foam tips, and feather ends. The Nightingale bow is built on top of a real MartinX Recurve bow; the new body was made with paper mache and paperclay, sealed and painted. All of the makeup is done by Sheila herself and she's also wearing G&G GBT Violet contacts.
